Since late 2025, Rokion has been working with Kinectrics, a Toronto, Ontario-based nuclear engineering and lifecycle management services company, to build a custom solution for Ontario Power Generation (OGP). OPG needed an efficient way to transport heavy equipment throughout their nuclear generating station, replacing the current method of manually towing an apparatus throughout the facility.
Our solution is the Remote Lift Vehicle, a modular, remote-controlled work platform.

The Remote Lift Vehicle includes multiple handling devices specifically designed to safely transport different pieces of equipment and is built to lift 35,000 pounds as high as 13.6 feet. When it isn’t handling heavy equipment, the unit functions as an aerial work platform with 145 square feet of available working space.
This custom system utilizes proven electrical control systems from Rokion’s R100, R710, and Belt Structure Installation cart. The R100’s combined Battery and Master Control Module powers and controls the entire machine, while the R710’s electric motors and planetaries drive the Remote Lift Vehicle’s four independent wheel assemblies.

Two custom handling devices designed to transport equipment around the nuclear generating facility.
Following a lot of hard work refining the design and a thorough commercial grade survey of our facilities, we’re excited to share that production on the is officially underway. We look forward to working with Kinectrics to get the first of two Remote Transporters into OPG’s Pickering Nuclear Generating Station later this year.
