Data Logging

All Rokion equipment is outfitted with onboard data loggers. These loggers collect information on the state of the battery modules, motors, power management systems, and communication systems. Rokion’s team, along with the vehicle owners themselves, use this data to troubleshoot, plan preventative maintenance, and improve overall vehicle reliability.

What Data Does Rokion Collect?

Through TechCenter, users can select a range of dates and view a summary of operational data. Key data includes the distance travelled, state of charge, temperature histories, and faults which may have occurred during the selected dates.

Data Log

Behind the scenes, Rokion's engineering and service teams analyze the comprehensive data logs, which collects hundreds of different data points as frequently as once per second. They use this data many ways:

  • When a customer has an issue, Rokion assesses the logs to find the source and offer troubleshooting steps
  • Rokion can alert the customer when their equipment is reaching specific thresholds and help schedule maintenance
  • By comparing logs across different fleets, Rokion can identify trends and improve the overall product line
  • Automatic Data Logging

Previous Rokion Battery Powered Trucks required the operators to manually upload logs to TechCenter. Current Rokion builds are equipped with automatic data loggers, which upload logs to TechCenter whenever the truck is within Wi-Fi range.

Rokion customers are given the instructions to configure the equipment's data logging with their Wi-Fi network. Rest assured that Rokion can only access the specific equipment’s data logger and does not have direct or remote access to the local site network.
